James Ferrell, O.D.

Dr. Ferrell graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee with a bachelors degree in Engineering. After practicing for 8 years in defense and private industry, he returned to Murray State University for his Pre-Med requirements. In May 2001, he graduated with a Doctor of Optometry from UAB's School of Optometry. Dr. Ferrell is TPA certified by the Alabama Board of Optometry to use prescription medications. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Alabama Optometric Association, Contact Lens Section of the American Optometric Association, and past member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. Dr. Ferrell enjoys mission work locally, in Ecuador, and elsewhere through his church. He accepts donated glasses for these efforts.
